Group therapy can be an essential component of treatment on its own or as a supplement to individual therapy. Group therapy provides an opportunity to better understand the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of yourself and others and serves as a social learning environment. It mimics real-world experiences in a structured, therapeutic setting which allows for treatment concepts and skills to be put into action. Group therapy can provide a supportive, yet challenging space to develop self-awareness, build connections, and practice skills to better engage with others with an improved sense of self-worth and confidence.
